A big thank you to Victoria, Helen and all the School Librarian Association team, for looking after us and delivering an excellent day, at their national conference.
This year, the event was held just a stone’s throw away from Magster Towers, at the Mercure Hotel,in the county’s capital of Northampton.
The venue was ace, as were all the staff that I encountered.
So, a day spent where you find a book shop, publishers, authors and of course, the stars of the show – the school librarians, all under one roof, is never a bad thing.
The program was brilliant and featured some amazing author talks. A huge thank you to Harper Collins and Usborne for the freebies, but don’t worry, the fabulous Norfolk Children’s Book Centre was on hand to make sure I was separated from my cash.
A smashing day, indeed and great to catch up with so many top folks…
Jules Howard, Anthony McGowan and Josh Silver were involved in some fine author talks; lovely to see Hayley Fairhead from Firefly Press and Bella from Guppy Publishing.
…and to top it all off, I had lunch with the ever lovely, Jenny Griffiths

Thank SLA!!
